Those who’ve been around for a while know it’s my favorite style. Something we don’t get to do very often. When we do, we want it to be memorable. In the Spring of 19’ after a few year hiatus we got to travel as a family. We visited Barcelona and got to drink some local Spanish wines and really enjoyed a style known as Alicante.
An idea was born and we imported the primo Mataró grapes from Spain used in Alicante. Known as Mourvèdre by the French these medium size thick skinned grapes are the backbone of GSM style wines found in Rhône, Australia and the States
